Kellys Storage Charity Events
Next Race: 02/07/2022
Really friendly and well organised event. Easy bag drop and school location offers plenty space for registration and shelter before the race. Well marked course and great support from large number of marshals. Hilarious warm up. Challenging conditions underfoot as much of race is across muddy fields rather than along trails. Trail shoes required. Have done this race almost every year for last 10 years and love it. Added bonus of tea/coffee and fantastic cakes after the race.
Enjoyable run, well organised. Only comment is that it is very much a cross country course rather than a road run and hence be prepared for a varied terrain!
I always enjoy the lovely atmosphere surrounding Kelly’s events. I was very glad I was wearing Cross Country Shoes and therefore enjoyed the soft going. I could see that some found the conditions challenging.
Very good event. Didn’t really like the course just because I think there could have been more emphasis on the marketing in the sense of it being a cross country race. The course was very challenging and the mud made it very difficult and at some stages was dangerous and not conditions that could be run through and runners could of been prone to injury through falling.
It was great fun especially the warm up and the Marshalls
Also loved the home made cakes
This was a challenging but enjoyable 10k. I will be entering next year if it runs.
Loads of top support all along the course. Warm up was good fun, easy registration. Very well organised and the course was easy to navigate. Top stuff all round
Great event, amazing organisation. Route was really clear and loved that there was a bag drop to leave my things whilst I ran!
Snow really tested our limits this year - and the course's. Felt very unsafe in places, particularly up by the lake. Wonder if more adequate measures could have been taken to make sure we didn't fall in? Signage was a bit lacking in places. Had to ask marshalls at a few points (think it was coming back through the wood section). Sad to see you can't look up your own race photos this year too. Other than that, same beautiful course - just a little more difficult to see due to that dastardly snow.
What a Run! Running up the hill just after the start into horizontal snow and a gale, out into the beautiful Clandon Park to find the going under foot shall we say damp!
A really tough run in horrendous conditions
Thanks to all of the marshals out in the cold and wet and to the George Abbot PTA for organising the run with Kelly’s
looking forward to next year, by which time I might be warm again!
4th time and last! Moved date from April to March and course is very challenging in the mud and this year the snow and blizzard conditions.
A good challenge tho but not easy.
