More details about the day:
Thank you for entering Kelly’s Clandon Park Run. As race day approaches we hope you will find below all the information you need for the day.
Race HQ is located at George Abbot School. You will need to collect your number and timing chip from here. The 10k run will start at 10am and the 4k run will start at 10:10am out on Great Goodwin Drive, next to the school.
We have bananas and water for runners. There will also be healthy food by Nourish, yummy homemade cakes from the PTA and bacon rolls all back at HQ. Also posh coffee and a range of other drinks will be available. Please do bring cash and make use of this! (We will be!!)
There are toilets available inside the school building.
There is free parking at the school. Please follow the instructions of marshals on arrival. The post code for your sat nav if travelling by car is GU1 1XX.
We will have a secure free baggage drop provided by Kelly's Storage for any items you need looking after whilst you run.
Every finisher will receive a finishers medal. There will be a presentation of Winners Medals & Prizes at approximately 11:15am on the stage at HQ. Please do stay for this and cheer on everyone’s successes.
These will be displayed on our website in full later in the day at charity.kellystorage.co.uk.
First Aid will be provided by Blue Light First Aid Services, and we thank them for their involvement.
In line with UK Athletics rules runners are not permitted to wear MP3/Music devices during the race. The race route uses public footpaths which will be open for other users as well and so you need to be able to hear what is happening in your locality and the instructions of marshals. This is for your own safety and well-being.
Don't forget - we advise that trail running shoes would be better suited than road running shoes, due to the nature of the course.
We can confirm that the race is fully licensed by runbritain. As such we operate the race using UK Athletics/runbritain rules.

Training plan one
This is a flat road and cross-country 10k and seasoned runners will enjoy the mixed terrain, whilst those new to the distance should find it a manageable first 10k. The 4k is also mixed road and cross country.
For the 10k you should ensure you are doing 2 runs a week of 6-8km in the last few weeks before the event.
If possible, try an extra run doing an interval-based speed session, with a total of about 5k cumulatively in effort.
In the final week before the race, have just a few easy runs then rest up in preparation for the big day!
DON'T FORGET the right trail shoes and clothing for the day will make your run more comfortable. Please check our website for updates nearer the time about weather and ground conditions at the riverside.
