A message to runners from the Race Director
Thank you for entering Kelly’s Cross Country Challegne. We do appreciate your support and thanks for choosing us. As race day approaches we hope you will find below all the information you need for the day.
Race HQ
Race HQ is located within the grounds of Loseley Park, on Front Park, the field in front of the House. Race HQ will be open from 8:30am on Sunday16th October. You will need to collect your number and timing chip from here. Inside the Race HQ you will find a desk for collection of bibs/race numbers and a desk for those wishing to sign up on the day. The activites start at different times - 9:30 (10k run & half marathon), 9:45 (5k run), 10am (walks) & 10:30am (children) with short warm up to music before each run starts. Walkers are welcome to warm up with the 5k runners at 9:40am
Refreshments
We have arranged for a mobile catering unit to offer teas/coffees, a range of hot food and cold drinks. Please do make use of this! (We will be!!)
Toilets
Portable toilets will be available, but unfortunately no changing facilities.
Parking
There is free parking neat the Race HQ. Please follow the instructions of marshals on arrival. The post code for your sat nav if travelling by car is GU3 1HY.
Baggage Drop
We will have a secure baggage drop provided by Kelly's Storage. You will find a baggage label in your race pack which you can bring with you when depositing your bags and belongings.
Medal presentation
Every finisher will receive a finishers medal. There will be a presentation of Winners Medals & Prizes at approximately 11am near to the race finish line. Please do stay for this and cheer on everyone’s successes. We hope to coincide the prizes with the winner of the half marathon finishing so it should be a great atmosphere as everyone gathers to cheer them in!
Results
We will be displaying results at Race HQ, and if you have provided a mobile number the results will also be sent by text to you at the end of your race. These will also be displayed on our website in full later in the day. This can be accessed via charity.kellystorage.co.uk.
First Aid
First Aid will be provided by Blue Light First Aid Services, and we thank them for their involvement.
MP3/Music Devices
In line with UK Athletics rules runners are not permitted to wear MP3/Music devices during the race. The race route uses public footpaths which will be open for other users as well and so you need to be able to hear what is happening in your locality and the instructions of marshals. This is for your own safety and well-being.
Footwear
Don't forget - we advise that trail running shoes would be better suited than road running shoes, due to the nature of the course.
License/Certification
We can confirm that the race is fully licensed by runbritain. As such we operate the race using UK Athletics/runbritain rules.
All that remains is to thank you again for choosing us and we look forward to seeing you on the 16th October
