The Kelly's Cycle Challenge 2014 is now over but why not sign up for the 2015 Kelly's Cycle Challenge?

This event was a massive success, much enjoyed by all (apart from a few hills and a freezing cold wind!). The rain held off and there was a magnificent turn out for all events including the children's race where much fun was had by all!

There were many great team and individual efforts and we are getting closer to our P30,000 target all the time.

Many, many thanks to all who participated, sponsored and volunteered to make it the great event it was.

The Open Road Bike Ride

The 2 routes for the open road ride will be the same until the first feed station at Long Sutton Village Hall. This is the 11 miles (18k) mark. Here all riders will find cake, bananas, energy drink, water and toilets.

From here, the shorter route will head off in a southerly direction. Map of the short route is here.

The longer route will continue West on quiet country roads, passing through occasional villages and hamlets, eventually arriving at the second feed station at The Royal Oak pub in Lasham. More cake, bananas, water and toilets will be provided. Map of the long route is here.

The 2 routes eventually rejoin and wind their way back to Farnham, taking in 2 short climbs before arriving back where you started.

The Ride in the Park

The ride for the younger cyclists and their parents or non-road cyclists will follow a route in the park. The terrain starts off on grass for the first 400 metres, following a course down hill to the official 'shared use' tarmac path. The route continues along this shared use path for just over 1km. Then a short sharp climb up to the avenue of beech trees before turning for home. The final long straight leg is down the avenue of beech trees.

The lap point is 20m before the finish line.

The route will be sign posted and each corner of the course. A responsible adult / parent must accompany their budding Wiggos either on a bike or on foot.

There is an adventure playground for afters which you will pass en route. It is open to under 14s only.

The challenge is to do as many laps as you can in 1 hour!
