Cherry Trees

For over 35 years Cherry Trees in East Clandon has provided home from home respite care for children and young people with severe learning and physical disabilities.  All our children are vulnerable and need very special care.  These children are best looked after at home but sometimes their families need a break.   Cherry Trees offers professional care in a safe and loving environment, where every child is valued for who they are.

Cherry Trees is a lifeline for the families of more than 100 children and young people who are regularly cared for here.  Without Cherry Trees there would be further stress and strain on the whole family.

During the last 10 years alone we have been booked for over 3,800 visits annually, helping a total of over 400 families.

We are very proud of the fact that 84 pence in every pound of our income goes to the care of the children and support of the families.  We were delighted in 2015 to be recognised with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest award a voluntary group can receive in the UK.

chYps

chYps Children's Hospice at Home (the children and young people's service of EllenorLions Hospices) has pioneered a new concept in children's hospice care. Instead of taking the child to a hospice, chYps take the hospice to the child, by delivering end of life, cancer and respite care in the family home.

This enables the young patient- babies, children and young adults- to spend precious time with their parents and siblings, in a place of comfort. The charities specialist team cares for the whole family by providing emotional support for the patient, siblings and parents.

This care extends to families living in West Kent and the London Borough of Bexley.

Farnham Chiropractic Wellness Centre

Farnham Chiropractic Wellness Centre are the only wellness focused chiropractic office in Farnham and the surrounding villages. Their multidisciplinary set up of Chiropractic, Active Release Technique (ART), Massage and Reflexology helps you achieve your goals in the shortest time. Grant, Jenna and the team have supported our cycle challenges in Farnham a couple of times now and they offer free massage for a donation to Challengers, helping us raise even more money for our fab charity! We are really very grateful for their contribution.

RDA Cranleigh

Our aim at Cranleigh RDA is to provide the opportunity to horse ride to children and adults with a wide spectrum of disability, for therapy, achievement and to have fun.

The benefits of horse riding to the rider can be physical, such as improved muscle tone and posture, balance, co-ordination and flexibility and strength. Other less tangible things like improved confidence and self esteem, improved communication or ability to relate to others can also result. At our stables,Casi's Farm, parents and carers see their children achieving and having fun and find for themselves a forum for support and useful exchange. Its all good! We operate with the help of a very large number of committed volunteers. We need to raise funds every year for the upkeep of our horses, stables and our site so that we can continue to offer our service.
