THREE weeks to complete your choice of one of THREE activities & one of THREE challenges.

100% of all money raised on this site will go directly to

The Children's Trust and/or The Alzheimer’s Society

You can choose which charity receives your voluntary donation by ticking the appropriate box. If you tick neither or both the money will be divided equally between the two charities. 

DO SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OF & RAISE MONEY FOR A GOOD CAUSE.

You don’t have to do it in one go. You have 3 weeks to complete the challenge. We will send you simple instructions as to how you can accumulate your distances from each time you head out on your challenge. There will be a LEADER BOARD if you wish to join it & qualify for PRIZES in different categories.

ALL ENTRANTS RECEIVE A SNOOD/NECKWARMER TO WEAR WHILE DOING YOUR CHALLENGE.

Look out for others wearing them when you're out & about!

SPOT PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED!

We hope that this event will draw entrants together so you feel part of a team working towards a common goal to raise money for charity. 

Make sure you share your sponsorship page with as many friends & family members as you can.

We suggest a minimum donation of £10 & £5 for students but there is a drop-down menu so please give generously.

Questions and Answers

I have signed up to the Tri Kelly’s Challenge a week after the start.

Any runs or walks you have uploaded to your Strava account in April before signing up will still count towards your total. ‘Chase The Ladder’ acquires all activity data over the period of the Challenge, even before you sign up.

I am confused as some people have achieved a lot of miles and it is only the 2nd of April!

‘Chase The Ladder’ has a default display for the previous 4 weeks’ activities from peoples accounts. So those high miles will most likely be from March and will not count in the final ‘Ladder’. To see what participants have achieved in the Challenge Ladder, you will need to filter the drop down ‘report period’ to ‘April’ from the default ‘last 4 weeks’ in the ‘Ladder’ links below.

My Strava is not linking to Chase The Ladder.

Make sure that when you clicked on the ‘Authorize Access’ link that you are signed in to the Strava account you use for your activities.

I would like to see my Challenge accumulative distance so far.

Sure, the distance is accumulated automatically and found on the ‘Ladder’ pages linked below. The default is set to the last 4 week period, so you will need to change the drop down ‘report period’ to April on the ‘Ladder’ links below. Since some people are running, some are walking and some people are cycling, there is a ‘Ladder’ for each activity. Don’t worry if you combine walking and running activities during the 3 weeks, we will be able to see the combined total at the end of the month.

I am having trouble getting my activity on to my Strava Account.

All watches and devices are slightly different. Strava has a very useful support page here: Strava Support Page

When is the latest we can upload an activity towards the Challenge?

Wednesday the 21st of March at midnight the table will be saved and therefore, all activities will need to have been uploaded to your Strava by 20:00 to allow time for ‘Chase The Ladder’ to process and include your activity in the final ‘Ladder’

I’ve noticed my Strava activities now have this table in the activity description.

This is an automatic ‘stats’ addition that ‘Chase the Ladder’ App puts at the bottom of your activity description. This will continue to be added until you revoke the permission for ‘Chase the Ladder’ to access your Strava data. This can be done after the Challenge has been completed since revoking access before the end will remove you from the ‘Ladder’.

To revoke access, please follow these steps:

  • Log in to you Strava Account
  • then under Settings > My Apps > ChaseTheLadder > Select ‘Revoke Access’.
