Kelly's Cross Country

Sunday, 20 October 2019

Please note our events are now cupless, meaning we will not provide paper or plastic cups at the water stations. This is to reduce the amount of wasteage from our events in a bid to help save the environement. Please support us by bringing your own reusable bottle or cup for us to refill on route and at the finish. Thank you!

Minimum age

Children under 12 years can take part in the children's race, but must remain the responsibility of a parent/guardian on the day. Children under 5 years must be accompanied at all times.

Points to note about the course
The routes on this course will be hilly and challenging, however all distances have fantastic views of the exclusive Loseley Estate!

We welcome all entrants. The course is off-road in nature, with the use of tracks, trails and some steep hills. If you have any disability or accessibility concerns regarding your entry please contact us to discuss your individual needs. The 1k route although still off-road in nature, is accessible to those using a wheelchair.

What to wear

Due to the nature of cross country running, if the weather has been wet, the course will be  muddy! As such we advise that trail running shoes would be better suited than road running shoes.

Walk routes where 5k turn loop round and 10k carry on to Puttenham

A little more info...

All the routes other than the children's event use the South part of the estate and there is not as much climbing as previous years.

The 10k, half marathon and 5k runs go up through the field above the lake.

The 10k and half marathon routes go up to the North Downs ridge on a hard packed footpath path rather than a muddy field where it's difficult to climb if wet.

The 5k returns on the track that runs North/South down the middle of the estate, back to the finish.

The 5k and 10k walks are both on a separate route to the runs, yet start and finish under the runners arch so walkers will feel very much a part of the event and will collect return to smiling faces to receive their well-deserved medals.
